XP Coin Swap News

XP Coin is migrating to a new blockchain and LionBit is the main exchange for the swap.

With such a busy end to 2018, it’s been a while since English Teacher Online posted but we’ve saved the best for last to bring you this XP Coin Swap News.

Ratio of the Swap

I’ve just been informed directly by the XP Coin Dev Team that the swap ratio is now set at 150:1 so if you have any of the old tokens you need to make a choice. You are advised to move your old XP Coins to LionBit Exchange who are enabling this swap to the new XP Coin blockchain.

After the swap, the old tokens will not be supported by our devs.

The team have considered the swap numbers in relation to the maximum coin cap following a community vote on Discord and many hours of long deliberations. They finally agreed a swap ratio of 150:1 which is going to allow XP Coin to grow at a reasonable rate while ensuring against any one member owning a portion beyond the company itself.

Hard Cap

The community also asked for a “hard-cap” on the coin, with the majority of members believing that crypto-coins with a total cap acquire a better reputation. The new coin will therefore be limited to 120 billion total coins.

Pre-Mine

The team council also determined that an 18% pre-mine would be sufficient for the operations, promotions, and associated costs of running the new XP Coin blockchain.

Master Nodes & Rewards

By popular demand, when XPcoin.io moves to the new blockchain, there will be XP Master Nodes.

The cost of a Master Node is going to be 500,000 “new” XP.

The team took a critical look at the block chain, timing, and associated rewards; and had very intensive discussion that involved looking at various scenarios.

Our team decided to officially set rewards at 10,000 XP for every block at one minute intervals. They are confident that these numbers are in the best interest of XPcoin.io and the community.

Timetable for the Swap

There is still no firm swap date but the team did say that it would allow sufficient time for all members to swap. If you are worried about missing the swap timetable, you may put your old XP Coins on a participating exchange now.

The Future

These were the most critical questions asked by the community and the team is now addressing tasks that rely on those numbers, such as the swap date and span, partners who may want to participate, pools and their contacts, etc.

I will post updates as soon as the XPcoin.io team review and approve more details.

Finally, the Devs and XP team would like to thank you for being a part of the XPcoin.io community. I’m sure we all look forward to these great, new, exciting changes paving the way for a prosperous 2019 and beyond.

PS. Don’t forget to place your old XP Coins on a participating exchange so they swap automatically when a date is announced.

Use XP Coin to Buy English Lessons

With all the recent turbulent fun, English Teacher Online would like to remind holders that you can still use XP Coin to buy English lessons online.

You can pick your lessons from a range of topics or just ask for a ‘free talk’ session on a subject of your choice.

I’ll even write a lesson just for you and post it online so others can share and study it for FREE.

Why Pay For Free Lessons?

You are paying for ‘teacher time’ not the free material.

Every student is advised to look at the study material before each class and come to the lesson with lots of questions.

Teachers help students with pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar. We teach you how to build meaningful sentences that relate to your real life situation.

Each lesson is different because every student is not the same.

How Much Do Lessons Cost?

25-minute lesson is only 400,000 XP

50-minute lesson is only 750,000 XP

5 x 50-minute package is only 3,000,000 XP

Find the live XP Coin exchange rate now. Prices are subject to change.

Why Are Prices So Low?

Large language companies charge over $30 an hour! But you can get massive discounts when you study with independent teachers who have lower overheads working from home.

I want to pass on those discounts to students who pay with XP Coin, the revolutionary cryptocurrency with lower fees than Bitcoin.

We are confident that the XP price will rise in value and that is reflected in our low rates.

Trusting XP Coin to Pay For My Game Time

It’s been 6 months since English Teacher Online started streaming live on Twitch, trusting XP Coin to pay for my game time in the brutal yet beautiful world that is Rust.

In that time, I’ve attracted nearly 400 followers and spoken with a number of key players. I’ve also been promoted to Content Creator in a number of Discord groups and collaborated with fellow streamers.

Meanwhile XP Coin has been focusing on integration, paying gamers for their time by inviting people like you and me to sign up through their rewards.xpcoin.io website.

My XP Coin Research Story

Since March 2018, I’ve earned over 100,000 XP Coins playing on the XP Coin Rust server. I’ve steadfastly watched a bear market in which the price of XP Coin has fluctuated between $0.0003 and $0.000017 – far below its peak of $0.005, hit during the last cryptocurrency bull run of January 2018.

That’s because I’m a HODL or HOLDER who believes in community and I’ll only cash out a percentage of my earnings when the price is right!

As we wait for another end of year bull run, I thought it would be interesting to calculate just how much money I may have earned so far?

Blog post price of $0.000025 x 100,000 = $2.50

January 2018 peak of $0.005 x 100k = $500

x1000 fantasy bull run projection of 2.5 cents = $2,500

Today’s current price of 1 XP Coin is …

Why Would There Be Another Bull Run?

Looking at the charts, we can see trends, patterns or opposing forces at work in the market. Each bull run is preceded by a triple or 4 times bear market as spiraling pessimism proves the doubters correct.

But for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, as the saying goes, and the signs suggest that another bull run (optimism) is about to happen just as big institutional money enters the market. And because the XP Coin price is pegged to Bitcoin, we should see at least moderate to substantial gains by late 2018 – early 2019.

I’ve never bought any XP Coin with my own money and always played on their server assuming that I wouldn’t see a dime. Yet at the time of writing this blog I have $2.50 in my XP Coin wallet. Real money for doing what I love doing in my free time, role playing, building, raiding and surviving in the brutal yet beautiful world of Rust.

I also have some XP Coin sitting in a staking pool making more XP Coin!

I don’t know what the price will be in January 2019 but I’m preparing to cash out 20% of my XP Coin next time the bull run’s high. There’s still 3 months to get in the game!

It’s A No-Brainer

You play Rust anyway and you don’t need to spend a penny. Simply join me on the XP Coin Rust server and earn some XP Coin of your own. See what happens with the next bull run. You could make a dollar, $100 or more.

In 3 months you can decide whether to cash out and exchange your XP for LTC or DOGE – or keep earning, building a nice little college fund or house deposit.

It’s a no-brainer because you’re going to play Rust anyway!

Useful Vocabulary

Bear Market – A condition in which security, stock or cryptocurrency prices fall and widespread pessimism causes the downward spiral to be self-sustaining. Investors anticipate losses as pessimism and selling increases.

Bull Run (Bullrun) – A period of optimism, investor confidence and expectations that strong results should continue. Greed encourages speculators to hold on for impossible profits instead of cashing out before the next inevitable crash.

Career Advice to Save the Planet

What if we all woke up everyday looking forward, full of ideas and energized because we had found our purpose in life?

Well, English Teacher Online thinks this career advice to save the planet can help you do just that –to have a happy, successful and prosperous life too.

How Should I Choose My Career?

Start with your passion, what you love to do and are good at.

It needs to be your vocation, what the world needs and you can be paid for.

Don’t just settle for a profession, what you are good at and could get paid to do.

Find your mission, what the world needs and that you love.

Your ‘Ikigai’ is your purpose in life, the point where your passion, mission, vocation and profession converge – and it’s really important that you find it.

Why Is Money Not So Important?

Most of the problems in this world come from the fact that people aren’t happy. They are forced to do things just for money and not for the greater good of saving the planet.

Unhappy or uncaring people in power can easily make bad or corrupt decisions because they are not following their true path, they never found their Ikigai.

Money isn’t even real, it’s just a trust mechanism that we use to exchange time, goods and services.

In an automated world – culture, art and music become a currency that enriches society. Nobody should feel they need to do a job just because someone says that everyone needs to work.

Before the 21st century, housewives were exploited because they felt obliged to work hard without any monetary reimbursement – they did it for love and an understanding that if the chores weren’t done, the house could easily fall into ruin.

Gender equality is helping, as men and women start to share household chores but we need to see this reflected across society, not least in the positions that affect our planet most.

Nobody can predict the future – most of us can’t even predict what will happen next week! The only thing we should really be interested in is happiness in the workplace.

How Will We Save Humankind?

The universe is so beautiful that it deserves to be appreciated and enjoyed by sentient beings such as us. At this moment our species is very vulnerable to a meteor strike or other natural disaster.

We can save our civilization in two ways:

  • Escape the planet and colonize other areas of space.
  • Protect Earth’s environment so that it’s able to support human life in a meaningful way.
Double our Chances of Survival

This is not an either or scenario. We can choose to work for both outcomes, to have a life supporting Earth and human colonies beyond our mother planet. The important point is that these two goals should not conflict with one another.

So, what is your Ikigai? What is your purpose in life? Your passion, mission, vocation or profession? What career path will you choose? There are so many possibilities – good luck choosing well.

My Long Summer Holiday 2018

Was it the 3-D Interactive Art Gallery, Underwater World, or Siam Frost Park?

Maybe it was lazy days spent around the pool, getting KFC delivered or going out to dinner?

Taking a break from English Teacher Online and spending time with my family in Pattaya was certainly the highlight of my long summer holiday this year.

My mum, dad, sister and nephew had flown over to Thailand for 2 weeks. We’d never rented a villa before, but this one had 3 bedrooms and a private swimming pool. It was all ours for 11 glorious days!

As we settled into our new holiday home, I quickly jumped on the internet and checked out all the tourist attractions in the famous seaside town of Pattaya.

The first thing that caught my eye was Art in Paradise, a 3-D interactive gallery, and the family quickly agreed that it should be our first day out.

As we walked around, inside the gallery, we were amazed at all the beautiful pictures and carefully designed camera points to help us take fantastic photographs.

Shots with T-rex, a magic carpet ride, dancing Gangnam style and holding Thors hammer, are just a few examples of the incredible memories that will stay with us for the rest of our lives.

A few days later we went to Underwater World which boasts a 100 meter long tunnel, the longest in Southeast Asia. My nephew, Josh, fed the golden carp with a baby’s milk bottle at the entrance to the aquarium. He said that it felt weird but was very good fun too!

Inside the tunnel, it seemed as if the fish were following us around as we walked slowly through their incredible habitat. Some of the fish were well camouflaged and very difficult to see. Others were enormous and impossible to miss. My favourite was the manta ray, a flat fish which at one point swam right over my head. Incredible!

For our 8th wedding anniversary, the family went to Frost Magical Ice of Siam. We had to wrap up warm before going inside but it was still really cold. They used lots and lots of industrial sized air-con units to keep the room at freezing temperatures.

As we walked around, Josh spotted an ice slide so we carefully walked up the icy steps.  I sat down at the top of the slide and the ice felt so hard and very cold. I pushed myself off and followed Josh down the slide. I turned around to see Pom sliding down too. We all laughed so much!

Next we went to the ice bar and ordered our free drinks. Fanta arrived in thick solid ice glasses that felt as cold as outer space! My wife had never been to a place so cold but said that it was a really fun and romantic way to spend 30 minutes of our 8th wedding anniversary. That’s all the time we could stand as our noses and toes started to freeze and go numb!

Pattaya had such a variety of food and things to do. One evening we found a restaurant that served traditional English roast dinners which my mum, sister and I ordered. Josh had a pizza and my wife and father ate spicy Thai food.

All good things come to an end and soon it was time for my family to go back to England. We waved good-bye at the airport and promised to do it all again next year!
