Presentation is very important so in week 3, English Teacher Online helps you present your family project. This means it’s time to look back and choose the work you want to publish.
Design Your Family Magazine
You should design and create a 4-page magazine about your family.
What does “family” means to you?
Describe your closest family members.
Include an essay describing a family activity during the long Songkran 2017 school holiday.
Talk about your plans or dreams for the future.
Make sure your teacher has marked the work BEFORE you illustrate your magazine.
Rewrite It With More Detail
During this presentation week, you may want to focus in on the most interesting moment of your long Songkran School Holiday. Rewrite it in great detail, add dialogue or action sounds, express yourself in full. Tell the story from the outside, what was happening – and inside, how you were feeling.
Good writers give up secrets only they know!
Is there a successful person or someone you look up to (admire) in your family? You may also wish to talk about your dreams for the future.
Presentation of Goals
What job do you want to do in the future and why?
What qualifications do you need to do that job?
What are you doing now to help that happen?
Short, medium and long term goals help you plan your learning.
Teacher Steve wants to be a farmer when he leaves school.
In May 2015, I planted 400 trees with my wife Pom on our family farm near Tung Song.
What’s your love in life?
Follow your dreams!
“The giving of something to someone, especially as part of a formal ceremony.”
Now, you have planned your magazine.
The cover page should include a title and author.
The 3 inside pages must be unique writing and pictures about your family.
You will give your presentation during conversation class in week 4.
Each presentation should last for 1-2 minutes and you should use your family magazine as a prop, what does family mean to you?
You must NOT read the magazine. Practice and memorize the important parts. Speak with feeling and remember to smile at your audience.
If you have a really good idea for a semester long project, please talk to Teacher Steve or leave a comment.
